Liposuction Simulation

Patients seeking chin and neck liposuction may benefit greatly from a computer simulation of the potential result. Many undesirable features of the chin and neck affect the profile much more than they affect the front view. Most of us rarely get a good look at our profile, and if so, it is usually through a photograph. Computer simulation allows the surgeon to reshape the neck digitally and to give the patient an idea of the possible outcome from the liposuction procedure. Let's look at an example.

This young woman had a rather full neck that made her appear heavy and overweight. A digital photograph was taken and, using special morphing software, the chin and neck was modified to a more pleasing profile. It is important to realize that these are computer-generated simulations of what might be accomplished with surgery. The sole purpose of these simulations is to give the patient a general idea of a possible outcome after surgery, however simulations neither serve as an express nor implied guarantee of duplication or replication of these results.
